Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton

Is there any actress with a career as illustrious as Dame Julie Andrews? In addition to starring in some of the greatest films ever, including My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, and the Sound of Music, she’s also one of the few to earn a British Academy Film Award, Academy Award, Emmy Awards, and a Grammy Awards. No wonder Andrews earned a DBE!

Meanwhile, while Andrews’ daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, tried acting in the ’80s and ’90s, she found it wasn’t really for her. So, she now works as part of the MFA program at Stony Brook Southampton University, where she serves as Director of the Southampton Children’s Literature Fellows program and the Young Artists and Writers Project.
