As serious as Sue and Noel seemed about never wanting another child, their children could not believe them. After all, they had heard their parents say things like this dozens of times before! In fact, second-born Sophie joked that there was no way her parents would stop “on an odd number.” Meanwhile, their third-born Chloe said, “They might not plan on having another, but it could still happen.”
