Bill Haslam and Crissy Garrett – Together Since 1981

Crissy Garrett and Bill Haslam’s enduring bond was kindled at Emory University, where they met while pursuing their studies. Crissy, a Memphis native majoring in finance and marketing, and Bill, a Knoxville native and Sigma Chi fraternity member, found common ground in their shared experiences and backgrounds. Their relationship deepened following a tragic event in Crissy’s life, with Bill’s empathetic support marking a turning point.

The couple, both with notable family backgrounds, married in 1981, both at the age of 22. They then moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. Throughout their journey together, Crissy and Bill have embraced family life, welcoming three children and cherishing the growth of their family with seven grandchildren.
