John Bel Edwards and Donna Hutto – Together Since 1989

John Bel and Donna Edwards, whose love story started in the hallways of Amite High School, have shared a life filled with growth and partnership. Their deep-rooted connection flourished over the years, leading to their marriage in 1989, following John Bel’s graduation from West Point and Ranger School. Donna, completing her business degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and training as a teacher.

As a team, John Bel and Donna have raised three children—Sarah, Samantha, and John Miller, reflecting their commitment to family and shared values. Their journey, from youthful love, has evolved to a united, resilient team alongside John Bel’s military and political career, with Donna’s steadfast support.
