Dick Cheney and Lynne Cheney – Together Since 1964

Dick Cheney’s enduring marriage to Lynne Vincent, his high school sweetheart, began in 1964, marking the start of a lifelong partnership. They welcomed their first daughter, Elizabeth, in 1966, a timely arrival that coincided with changes in draft policies during Dick’s college years. Their second daughter, Mary, born in 1969, later played a pivotal role in shaping their views, particularly on gay marriage, as she is openly lesbian.

Now, the Cheney family has expanded to include seven grandchildren. Elizabeth, married to Philip Perry, has blessed them with five children. Mary and her wife, Heather Roan Poe, have added two more, Samuel David and Sarah Lynne, enriching the family tapestry.
