David Gilmour – England, Undisclosed Amount

Most celebrities take good care of their mansions. However, not all. When Pink Floyd’s iconic guitarist, David Gilmour, purchased the legendary Hook End Manor in 1980, it seemed like a dream come true. Not only did the 11-bedroom home come with plenty of room, but also a recording studio! In fact, the band used the studio to record parts of their album The Final Cut. In addition to Floyd, Gilmour also leased the studio out to bands like The Cure.
In addition to the studio, the home also has a billiards room and 25 acres of free space. Sadly, Gilmour could not afford the upkeep of the Hook End Manor. He eventually sold the property to two music producers, who eventually left it abandoned. The home now stands as a creepy relic to the heights of rock and roll history.
