Hana Makes a Choice
Hana stepped forward. “If the bear trusts me, maybe she’ll let me follow her. Maybe there’s more.” Peter blinked. “More what?” Hana shrugged. “I don’t know. But she came for help. What if others need it too?” Steve looked wary, but Peter’s expression slowly shifted. “You’re serious about this.”
Hana nodded. “I can’t explain it, but I think she’s asking us for something.” Peter glanced toward the bear. “Then you’ll need backup.” He checked his gear bag, handing her a headlamp and GPS tracker. “If she moves, stay close. Don’t provoke her. We’ll follow when we can.” Hana exhaled slowly. “Let’s do it.”
