Running the Marathon

Incredibly, his trip to Pittsburgh was not the only surprise that Strawn had for his mother! On the way, he had signed up for the marathon himself. So, on their first day together, they would run a marathon. Talk about an incredible turn of events!

Both Faix and Strawn did well in the marathon, finishing in under five hours. As the long-lost mother and son ran the race, they spent the quality time talking about all the races they had run in the past. Two apples clearly from the same tree, Faix and Strawn could not wait to race and best each other! Then, after the race, the family continued to make up for lost time at a wonderful cookout at Faix’s house.
