In fact, the actress said she gained a much deeper respect for cosmetics after having to sit in the makeup station for three hours every day after completing Guardians.

However, growing up in the Dominican Republic, Saldana needed to find more natural beauty routines. “In the islands, rum isn’t only for drinking. You can actually put rum on your hair…with the sun, the rum bleaches your hair. That was sort of a natural way of getting highlights.”
