Back in the 1960s, The Beverly Hillbillies was arguably the biggest show in all of America. The sitcom, which lasted an impressive nine seasons, ranked in the top 20 most-watched shows during eight of those seasons. On the sitcom, Baer Jr. got his big break playing the dum-but-lovable Jethro Bodine. Afterward, the actor scored a few bit parts, on shows like Hollywood Squares and Murder, She Wrote, but nothing that garnered an audience quite like Hillbillies.
