Italian-American singer Peggy March only had one real hit in the United States. However, that’s all you need to go down in the record books. After working her way up from wedding singer to recording artist, March released her second single, “I Will Follow Him,” in 1962. It soon not only soared to number one in the United States, but also in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, and Scandinavia.

While she’s sometimes wrongly remembered as a one-hit-wonder, March did have a few other minor hits in the United States. Meanwhile, while she had less success in America, March enjoyed sustained success in Europe, specifically Germany and France. In fact, she still performs there today.
