Actresses Sarah Paulson, 44, and Holland Tylor, 76, have not only made lesbian relationships far more accepted in Hollywood, but they have also managed to change the conversation about age gaps between partners. Ever since the two began dating in 2015, they’ve received plenty of much-unneeded flack about their 32-year age difference.

Of course, as anyone would, Paulson does not enjoy dealing with the attention. “My choices in romantic partners have not been conventional, and therefore the idea that it is ‘other’ makes it compelling,” Paulson said. Meanwhile, Taylor does not understand the interest. “I was blindsided by the reaction to it,” she said.
