Dick Van Dyke and Arlene Silver, 46 Years Apart
How does a massive 46-year age gap sound? Well, it doesn’t seem to bother legendary actor Dick Van Dyke or his wife, make-up artist Arlene Silver, who married in 2012. Incredibly, on the day of their wedding, Dyke was 86 years-old and Silver 40 years-old. That means when the actor starred in the 1964 musical Mary Poppins, Silver wasn’t even born yet!
Regardless of the sizeable age difference, Dyke still decided to ask Silver out on a date in 2006, after meeting at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Now, they’re inseparable! “She’s very mature for her age, and I’m very immature for my age, so it’s just about right,” said Dyke, who’s now 94.
