When he won the best Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2011, Bale said: “[My wife] had to be married to so many different characters over our marriage. I know that it truly would be impossible to do it without her. She’s such a good, strong woman.”

While actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick frequently portray free spirits, they are actually one of the most stable celebrity couples ever. These two Broadway veterans met, unsurprisingly, on Broadway. In 1995, Broderick had just joined the Naked Angels Theater Company, founded by Parker’s brothers, Pippin and Toby.
