Brigitte Bardot
While it might seem hard to imagine now, Brigitte Bardot was the textbook example of a pin-up girl back in the 1950s and 1960s. Bardot’s flowing locks of golden hair and that adorable gap between her two front teeth had every girl wanting to look like her.
These days, like her brunette counterpart, Sofia Loren, Bardot is unrecognizable now. However, there’s a good reason for that: back in the model’s day, people had very different ideas about health and beauty. For instance, in the ’50s and ’60s, exercise had still yet to become a popular trend, and smoking was actually encouraged by doctors! So, given all the pictures out there of Bardot smoking as a young woman, its no wonder the years took their toll.
